Kelley Blue Book’s Best Buys of 2015
Many people who are considering a new vehicle have been holding out until the 2015 models are on dealership lots. That time is now, nearly everything is available now for immediate delivery. To help consumers make informed decisions and to get the most value for their money, Kelley Blue Book has released it’s annual list of “best buys” for the 2015 model year.
“These two premises – the goal to provide the most consumer service and the goal to identify the best values – became the basis of our newest awards program: Kelley Blue Book’s Best Buys of 2015,” writes KBB. “We understand quite clearly that in the choice of a vehicle, one size does not fit all, so these awards recognize that excellence and high value lie within every segment of the vehicle market. The awards’ overarching goal is to offer sound guidance in helping car buyers make decisions in each of the major vehicle categories.”
Here are the Kelley Blue Book’s Best Buys of 2015, separated by category:
In the small car category, the 2015 Honda Civic won with a score of 8.7 out of ten, thanks to it’s well-deserved reputation for being reliable, economical and reasonably priced. KBB editors said, “In the simplest terms, the Honda Civic is a good product that lasts.”
Rising up a level to the mid-size car segment, Honda also took top honours with the 2015 Honda Accord. While it has many rivals, KBB editors found that the Accord came out on top as a total package. They wrote, “You can’t please all the people all the time, but no car comes closer to doing so than the Honda Accord.”
The full-size category was won by the 2015 Chevrolet Impala. “Chevy’s full-size family sedan’s styling, comfort and great value propel it to the top spot as our Full-Size Car Best Buy for 2015?, says KBB.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class took top honours in the luxury segment thanks to a perfect blend of style, luxury, value and performance.
This year’s best buy in the performance car category is the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette. It’s hard to beat the combination of 455 horsepower and 29 mpg. Chevy also claimed the electric/hybrid category with the 2015 Chevrolet Volt.
The crossover segment was won this year by the 2015 Honda CR-V in the small SUV/crossover category, the 2015 Toyota Highlander in the mid-size SUV/crossover category, and the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe in the full-size SUV/crossover category. The 2015 Acura MDX claimed this year’s title as best luxury SUV.
The 2015 Ford F-150 earned top honours as best buy in pickup trucks, and the 2015 Honda Odyssey won this year’s minivan category.
Finally, Kelley Blue Book’s overall best buy of 2015 is the 2015 Ford F-150. It seems that others think so too, as the Ford F-150 has been the perennial best-selling vehicle in the U.S. for decades and this year’s overhaul can only improve things.
