Favourite Cars Arriving On Dealer’s Lots This Year
With non-stop auto shows over the last few months and a flurry of new model announcements, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with it all and forget what new cars are on their way. Some are award winners, some are completely redone and others just got a refresh. Here are a few of our favourite ones that we are expecting to find on dealer’s lots later this year.
The Honda Accord sedan is a perennial favourite in Canada. It’s reliable, familiar, fuel efficient, has lots of room and looks good. It wins awards all the time and new hybrid and plug-in models are making their way onto dealer’s lots.
BMW’s 3 Series and 4 Series are making their way into showrooms, and not a moment too soon. Despite their luxury status, they’re reasonably priced, practical, roomy, stylish and don’t forget, powerful. The 3 Series has been the benchmark for performance sedans, and continues to be so with this year’s crop.
The Mazda 3 is in it’s third generation, and has been said to offer the most value in the car market today. It’s inexpensive, attractive and practical, but it’s drivetrain is more efficient than most other non-hybrid or non-diesel models. Loaded with comfort and features, once inside you’ll forget that you’re in a compact.
Audi’s 2014 A7 sport-back coupe has been around for a bit, people love it’s sophistication, style and comfort. This year you can add power to that formula, the RS7 comes with a whopping 560 horsepower, just in case turning heads wasn’t enough.
The Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ twins are bringing back the fun driving experience. With sharp looks and an easy price, these 200 hp RWD cars are nimble, and a lot of fun on corners.
The Ford Fiesta ST seems to make buyers very happy with their purchase. It may be little and very fuel efficient- getting 35 mpg, but there’s power in there too, delivered by a 197-hp turbo four.
The Cadillac CTS is probably the first Cadillac that is truly in the same league as it’s European rivals. It’s been a while since a Cadillac made a car built for drivers.
Speaking of cars you actually want to drive, the 2014 Jaguar F-Type just begs to be driven, audibly. An incredibly appealing exhaust sound combined with it’s supercharged V8 will keep you out well after the streetlights come on.
The RAM 1500 is killing it, demand for Chrysler’s truck is huge, beating out even Chevy’s Silverado. Built tough with the best chassis in the segment, the 1500 offers the only diesel available on a light duty pickup- offering fuel economy that rivals a midsize sedan.
